The Osler Apartments are named for Dr. William Osler — one of the fathers of modern medicine, a founder of Johns Hopkins University, and widely regarded as one of the greatest diagnosticians in history. His work in establishing standardized physician education and creating the first residency program for doctors in training helped usher in a new age of modern medicine. We pay tribute to his legacy with an apartment community ideally located next to UF Health Shands Hospital and Cancer Center — one of the premier research hospitals in the United States and the highest-rated hospital in all of Florida.
